Volcom Stone's Peanut Butter & Rail Jam 2014 Europe tour is a wrap!

This season saw Europe's finest up and coming jibbers tearing up the fun setups on offer, with each area gathering locals and groms, rail experts and ripping girls. Find below the links to the videos, photos and results of each event, if you haven't checked all of them already! This year 10 European riders will give it a go for the 16.000$ prize money at the PBRJ Championships in Mammoth Mountain, California, on the 19 of April! Stay tuned for the full report! Thanks to Nitro and Union who supported the 2014 Euro PBRJ events!   The tour started in LAAX with a superfun swiss precision setup and the international "local" riders witnessed the new guard of kids ripping. The Czech event went down in front of a massive crowd in the city of Prague and some PBRJ familiar faces made the trip from the Netherlands and Germany to take part. A bit of fog doesn't scare any viking and Norwegians dealt with it quite easily in Oslo. Grasgehren was the resort of choice for the German stop, with plenty of expats, a rail paradise and Chris Boehnke landing everything he attempts. Sunny skies, a park in the woods, smiles and a multi banks/wallrides setup made for a great day in Poland, for the Bialka Tatrzanska PBRJ. Our Partner resort Kitzsteinhorn shaped an amazing course for the Austrian stop, and the level of riding was just off the hook, check out the video! As always Finland didn't disappoint with talented riders shredding Serena resort's longest rails, another banging video there. Les 2 alpes hosted the French PBRJ stop and Dutchman Joshua Pires made his long road trip worth it by winning the ticket to Mammoth. The spanish stop was really fun and spicy thanks to a snow storm on the mountains around Madrid. 2014 Global PBRJ Championships

Christy Prior Talks to Onboard Magazine

We recently took our Global Women's team to Kitzsteinhorn in Austria for some long over due, end of season catching up. It turned out to be a trip where stars aligned in our favor and we managed to film and shoot some insane footage in just a couple days. The super rad Yalda Walter from Onboard joined us and sat down and talked to Christy about her joining our Volcom Family! This is how Yalda wraps up our fresh team addition in a couple sentences but do go and read the full interview on their webpage. "It may be popular right now to start snowboarding when you’ve still not figured out how to use a toilet, but not all hope is lost. If you’re Christy Prior, you could also well await the end of the most horrible phase of your life – puberty – then pick up snowboarding and go straight on to becoming a sponsored pro. The 25-year old Kiwi ripper did some serious hustling before ending up in the mighty snowboarding circus but now Christy’s just bossed her second season in the big comps. With her stacked bag of tricks, some proper air time and technical rail riding, she for sure sticks out of the masses and is one to remember" - Yalda Walter Photo credit ©Vanessa Andrieux

Spring Lookbook by Britta Burger

Britta Burger is a London based stylist, photographer and journalist from Austria. Being the Fashion Editor at Cooler magazine in London (among other things) she’s become both professionally and personally a close friend to us at Volcom. We admire her way of always finding new muses to shoot and love following whatever projects she’s got going on. We asked if she wanted to shoot a little lookbook for our Spring 2014 line and she said something like « yeah that’d be sick – I really want to shoot it at a cemetery! « Perhaps not where you’d normally shoot a spring collection but when it’s Britta she’s got free rein – check the result below; A UK Goth twist to a spring line.   Model: Sofia Myrtorp

RESULTS | Totally Crustaceous Tour (TCT) | SIDFISH, PORTHTOWAN, UK

The Annual Sidfish surf series gathered English competitors under cloudy skies and the mist that is quite common in Cornwall at this time of the year. Porthtowan's beach and sand banks got smashed during the heavy winter storms and due to this a lot of the sand has disappeared , with some new bits of reef showing up on the sand around mid to low tide. The event went well despite the poor conditions and the waves cleaned up for the Pro Am finals. Thanks to everyone who helped out at the event and especially Josh Ward and the judges, Jack Clinton and misses, and the Blue Bar. Check the photos below for the story. Luke Dillon won the Pro am divisions with moves like this in the finals It was raining all day but local dogs were out there not missing a bit of the action The Squids were all smiles and shakas! Stan Norman pushing it early in the Groms division Porthtowan suffered from the massive storms of this winter, this is the high tide photo, at low tide the line up is about 500m further out and some new reefs appeared Traditional Cornish pasties went quick for lunch in the Cornish weather Luke Dillon flairing in the rain Jobe Harris had 3 good waves in the Pro Am final and finished 2nd SIDFISH HOOD DRINK JOBE HARRIS CHARGE GROM DOG GROMS JUNIOR JUNIOR KEV CHRIS LUKE DILLION OPEN SETUP STAN NORMAN STRIPGROM SQUIDS CHICAS   RESULTS:  Groms 1st Kit Innes-Trelaury 2nd Jack Coombs 3rd Seth Morris 4th Stanley Norman Groms podium Girls 1st Emily Currie (100£) 2nd Georgia Timson 3rd Meg Niblett 4th Melodie King Girls podium Juniors 1st Isaac Marshall (100£) 2nd Joe Harding 3rd Kai Thomas 4th Louis Thomas Hudson Juniors podium Pro Am  1st Luke Dillon (250£) 2nd Jobe Harris 3rd Sam Harwood 4th Max Bechonis Pro Am Podium
